The Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) announced its target to reach a sales value of RM600 million for the Franchise International Malaysia Exhibition and Conference 2024 (FIM2024), scheduled to take place from May 29th to June 1st, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur. According to MFA president Datuk Radzali Hassan, more than 70 percent of the 240 booths available have already been reserved by franchise companies and various organizations. He highlighted the event’s international appeal, with exhibitors from Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, India, and the United Arab Emirates expressing interest.
Radzali emphasized the significance of participating in such programs to enhance business networks both locally and internationally, speaking during the pre-launch of FIM2024. Additionally, he mentioned that FIM2024 will host the annual meetings of the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and the World Franchise Council (WFC), attracting representatives from franchise associations across more than 40 countries. The event will also feature the Franchise Award Night 2024.
Radzali expressed full support for the upcoming National Franchise Policy 2030, expected to be launched in the first quarter of the year, believing it will further fortify the industry. FIM2024 enjoys the backing of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs as well as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
