The Malaysia Franchise Association (MFA) is proud to announce that Malaysia has been chosen to host the esteemed Annual World Franchise Meeting, bringing together the Asia-Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and the World Franchise Council (WFC). This significant event will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from the 27th to the 29th of May 2024.

Dr Radzali Hassan, Chairman of the Malaysia Franchise Association

Dr. Radzali Hassan, Chairman of the Malaysia Franchise Association, expressed his enthusiasm for Malaysia’s role as host, emphasizing the country’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the franchising sector. The Annual World Franchise Meeting is a critical gathering that attracts participants from over 40 nations, uniting global franchise leaders to delve into current trends, develop franchise strategies, resolve ongoing challenges, exchange activity updates, and collectively influence the future of APFC and WFC initiatives.

Dr. Radzali further announced that the Franchise International Malaysia (FIM) 2024, an annual franchise exhibition and conference, will be officially organized by the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN). This significant event is scheduled to take place from May 29 to June 1, 2024.

This meeting is known for its diverse perspectives and shared insights, making it a cornerstone event in the franchise industry and an essential platform for leaders worldwide. The APFC’s primary objectives are to facilitate a forum for National Franchise Associations in the Asia-Pacific region to share experiences, information, and technical know-how on franchising. It aims to enhance communication among members, promote the development of National Franchise Associations within the region, and present unified regional views on franchising to international bodies like the WFC.

The WFC, founded in 1994, is a non-political global association of National Franchise Associations. Its mission is to support the development and protection of franchising and promote best practices in fair and ethical franchising worldwide. The WFC aims to be the foremost source of information for the global franchise community and a leading platform for collaboration between national franchise associations.

Malaysia’s selection as the host for this prestigious meeting is a testament to its growing significance in the global franchising community and its dedication to fostering a dynamic and innovative franchising environment.
