Addis Ababa to Host Africa & Ethiopian International Franchise Expo 2026 at Hilton Convention centre on 31Oct to 1 Nov 2026
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: Addis Ababa is set to become a major meeting point for the African and international franchise community as the Africa & Ethiopian International Franchise Expo 2026 takes place on 31 October and 1 November 2026 at Hilton Addis Ababa.
The two-day international event will bring together franchise brands, investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, franchise consultants and development organisations from Ethiopia, across Africa and international markets. The Expo is designed to create a platform for global brands seeking entry into Ethiopia and the wider African market, while also helping promising African and Ethiopian businesses explore franchising as a strategy for regional and international expansion.
Hosted in Addis Ababa, the diplomatic capital of Africa and home to the African Union headquarters, the event aims to position Ethiopia as an important gateway for franchise investment and business collaboration across the continent. With Africa comprising 54 countries and a rapidly expanding young consumer market, franchising offers significant opportunities in sectors including food and beverage, retail, healthcare, education, hospitality, beauty and wellness, technology and professional services.
The event will feature four major platforms under one roof: the Africa Franchise Expo, Africa Franchise Conference, Africa Franchise Investment Summit and Africa Franchise Awards. International and African experts are expected to discuss franchise development, investment opportunities, master franchising, market entry strategies, financing and the future of franchising across Africa.
The Expo is being developed in association with 251 Marketing & Communications, with support from FranExpos, Dubai, bringing international franchise exhibition and networking expertise to Addis Ababa.
The organisers expect the event to provide a new bridge connecting Ethiopian entrepreneurs with African and global franchise opportunities, while encouraging international brands to consider Addis Ababa as a starting point for expansion across the continent.
