Dine Brands International Signs IHOP Franchisee Deal In Caribbean
The agreement with Bahamas Limited will further expand the global footprint of Dine Brands.
Dine Brands International has signed an agreement with Bahamas Limited to open 16 International House of Pancakes (IHOP) restaurants in the Caribbean region over the next few years.
According to an official press release, the first IHOP restaurant is expected to open later this year in Nassau, The Bahamas.
The new IHOP location will offer its signature menu, as well as local breakfast favourites. It will also serve special items for children and seniors.
Dine Brands Global franchise operations regional vice-president William Urrego said: “We are excited to bring IHOP to the English-speaking Caribbean islands.
“We’ve seen success in Puerto Rico and believe guests in this new market are sure to fall in love with the brand’s world-famous pancakes and familiar comfort foods.
“The Caribbean is an important growth market for Dine Brands, and The Providence’s well-developed tourism infrastructure and recent large-scale hotel and resort investments, as well as shopping centre developments, help position it as the perfect location for IHOP’s first restaurant in the island.”
