London, UK — Smash burger and hot chicken quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain Smacks Burgers has unveiled plans to take its 14-store portfolio to new heights after appointing global franchise consultancy Presman & Colard to lead its UK and international franchise development strategy.
Launched in 2021, Smacks Burgers has rapidly grown its footprint across the United Kingdom, building a loyal, cult-like following for its brightly coloured stores and bold, innovative menu. The brand currently operates 14 locations nationwide and is best known for its freshly ground 100% Angus beef smash burgers and its signature Nashville Hot Chicken.
As consumer demand for new and exciting flavours continues to rise, Smacks reports grinding fresh beef patties daily and serving thousands of portions of its hot chicken across its estate. This momentum has translated into strong financial performance, with system-wide sales increasing by more than 50% over the past year to exceed £8 million.
Recent growth has been fuelled by new franchised openings in Glasgow, Cardiff, and Brighton, alongside the brand’s first international location in Dubai, situated in Motor City. Building on this success, Smacks has also launched a new store at London Victoria, strengthening its presence in Central London. The site is reported to be trading ahead of expectations.
To support its next phase of expansion, Smacks has partnered with Presman & Colard to refine and scale its franchise proposition. Over the coming months, the consultancy will work closely with the brand to accelerate UK growth, supporting Smacks’ long-term ambition to reach 100 stores nationwide.
In parallel, Presman & Colard will explore further international franchising opportunities, with a particular focus on the Middle East, leveraging the strong performance of the brand’s existing Dubai location.
With a distinctive concept, strong sales growth, and a clear franchising roadmap, Smacks Burgers is positioning itself as a fast-rising player in the competitive QSR sector, both in the UK and internationally.
